These two states have a Reciprocity agreement. If you are a resident in the MI you file there and include the IL income in your MI return.
2 :
Yes, as you worked in both states

Freelance like Michale Weston from Burn Notice

Freelance like Michale Weston from Burn Notice?
You know how in Burn Notice, Michale does all those freelance jobs helping people. Do you think now and days you could make good money doing that to, just a little more low key with out all the explosions and bullets. For example help get rid of gangsters bothering people, apprehend a stalker, get some dirt on someone, etc, stuff like that. You think people would pay well for you to do stuff like that?

I think that if people could learn to trust you then it would easier for you to do your job. Also, i think that people would pay well for you to get rid of their problems for them for some cash. Especially now because of the stress put on because of the economy. If you did your job well and you seemed like a person that could be trusted, that would be a cool thing to try

How Can I Make Enough Money Freelancing To Afford to Quit My Salaried Job

How Can I Make Enough Money Freelancing To Afford to Quit My Salaried Job?
I graduated Summa *** Laude with a BA in print journalism and I have a small portfolio of writing and design clips that I've accumulated over the last 10 years. Right now I'm employed full-time at a job that pays very well, but that I hate. It isn't vaguely related to what I want to do--write for a living and be able to stay home to raise my child(ren). I am currently doing part-time freelance marketing and design work and some writing, but only 1 gig out of 3 is paid--and it doesn't pay that well. In addition to this, I also work full-time and part-time and have a husband, house and active toddler I am devoted to. I need to make the most out of any endeavor I undertake. I know I have the skills necessary to make a living by writing or doing graphic design and marketing at the very least. I just need the opportunity to make it happen. How can I obtain better-paying freelance gigs that will eventually allow me to replace my 9-5 salaried job with more fulfilling and flexible work?

Contact your local newspapers to see if they need help in that area. Also, I highly recommend purchasing the 2007 Writer's Market book. It has MANY opportunities to write articles, snippets, and so on. You may make $50 on one thing and several hundred or more on another. It has many well-known magazines and publishers listed with the requirements on contacting them, how much they pay (usually), etc. Good luck. :)

Unless your husband can carry the financial load, I would keep my job and wait to see what happens. As the saying goes.........."the starving writer"..........so even though your job is probably miserable, life could be even more miserable without a paycheck. I hope something works out for you, but now that you have a child to think about, don't trade his future dreams for yours. I wish you the best.

You've taken the first step, which is to figure out what you want to do! It's absolutely possible to replace your full-time salary with freelancer income. But it's important to do it wisely - and gradually. If you jump too quickly, you'll have that crazed "I need work" look, which won't help at all. I'm going to send you to a site that lists a bunch of excellent books you should read as you move forward. There are some good freelance sites (especially Guru.com) where you can start bidding on projects. I recommend the lowest PAID level membership - if you go with the free membership, you won't be able to bid on as many projects. Set a goal of bidding on about five projects a day, and you'll start getting work. Good luck

What's the best way for a teenager to get small freelance photography jobs

What's the best way for a teenager to get small freelance photography jobs?
I live in Tennessee and I'm 13. I'm going to just admit, I think I can take some awesome pictures. I have a Samsung Digimax S500, and it's great for landscaping and close-up pro pictures. I'm just wondering how and if it's possible for me to send in or talk to some company about them buying my pictures. Any ideas (Amateur or Professional)?

Sell your pictures on eBay - that would be a good way to get noticed...
2 :
Mail your pictures - don't send your only copies - to the local newspaper. Address it to editor. It is best if you can find out the editor's name and address it personally, but just editor is fine. Include a SASE so you get your pictures back, and a cover letter explaining what the photo is of and offering them for sale. If there's more than one newspaper, don't send it to all of them at once - you're offering exclusives, and doing that will cause tons of trouble. You may get back a reply that is just your photos, or a note that says they don't need these photos at this time. This means they don't want those photos, so try again with different ones. If you get back a reply that seems rude, don't let it bug you. Unless they say "don't send us anything ever again", keep trying. Just never send the same photo to the same newspaper twice. With enough persistance, you'll get a contract. Your parents will have to sign it for you, since you are under 18, but that won't change anything. I want to stress that it's persistance, luck, and taking the right pictures that gets you success much more than "awesome pictures

t's a virtual market place between buyers and sellers of IT services from all over the world. It helps buyers: webmasters, web designers, programmers, software developers and business owners to develop their projects. With this purpose we find sellers of IT services who are freelance workers (these are independent workers who are hired not on salary but on project basis): programmers, copywriters, web designers and translators. They help making the projects at the most convenient for the buyers price . As a result the best work is done at the best price. The Internet has opened up many freelance opportunities, expanding markets and helping to build it into one of the largest economic segments for many economies. Development for freelancing has been especially high for software development, website design, information technology, and business documentation. Freelance practice varies greatly. Some require clients to sign written contracts<!--while others may perform work based on verbal agreements, perhaps enforceable through the very nature of the work. Some freelancers may provide written estimates of work and request deposits from clients. Get more information on the website. You can almost find any freelance job you want. http://freelancejobs.awardspace.com/ Payment for freelance work also varies greatly. Freelancers may charge by the day or hour, or on a per-project basis. Instead of a flat rate or fee, some consultants have adopted a value-based pricing method-->based on the perceived value of the results to the client. By custom, payment arrangements may be upfront, percentage upfront, or upon completion. For more complex projects, a contract may set a payment schedule based on milestones or outcomes
