im a first year student and writing is mu passion,so i want to find something to keep me busy at the moment and make pocket money...please help me find a job in freelancing.

Where can I find online freelance jobs (free registration)

Where can I find online freelance jobs (free registration)? ?
I have several hours of free time every day. Can anybody tell me which site offers free online jobs? It can be also a translator job. I'm good at translating English to Bahasa Indonesia or vice versa. Or may be any other jobs online. But, I need the sites which doesn't need any registration fee (free registration). There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare. If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as 'Best'.

How can I calculate my federal and North Carolina quarterly taxes for my freelance work?
I have a full-time (W-2) job but also do freelance (1099) work on the side. Taxes are withheld from my W-2 job but are not withheld for my freelance work. How how much should I pay for my quarterly taxes (for both federal and NC)?

www.irs.gov Look up 1040es. There will be instructions to calculate and complete the estimated tax forms. Northa Carolina should have the same type of form. Browse the state website.

The best way is to compute your YTD profit each quarter, then annualize it. Pay your ES each quarter based on the annualized profit. To avoid penalty, you can make sure you pay in (through 4 equal ES payments and withholding) 100% of your prior year tax or 90% of your current year tax. Doing that, however, will not ensure that you will not be under or over paid at tax time.

The estimated quarterly payment forms are rather clear about how to do this. Alternatively, you could increase your withholding at your W-2 job and thus avoid the estimated payments. Figure out how much more you need withheld. Keep good records of expenses and mileage to reduce your taxable income when filing your Schedule C

What are some freelance jobs for an international traveler? Possibly online.?
Traveling w family, I go to places where I'm not legally allowed to work.So I need to learn how to support myself while often on the road. Do you know anything I can do online or be employed from overseas through online connections? Any trade that would give me international opportunities? Links to help would also be appreciated. This has been a great concern of my since I graduated from my home school. In the meantime I aspire to become a writer & illustrator until then...I'm penniless.
