Ring your local paper or radio station, that's the best way to start, good luck to you!
2 :
Start a "portfolio" of sorts by doing it for free for a local community newspaper. Once you're published, you'll have some credibility and be able to shop your talent to bigger "paying" gigs. Good luck!
3 :
I actually just got a job doing something similar for the Courier Post. Check your daily newspaper, they might have ads looking for freelance writers. Or, submit reviews online to get started.
4 :
look it up on the internet

I know how you feel gal! Just take deep breaths and make sure you break alot, I mean like taking 10 minute breaks or 15 minute power naps. You didn't specify your work, but if it's computer related, don't get tunnel vision. Stop and look at the window often to get a change of scenery. Drink coffee, but not too much, take a little walk to the corner store (if you live in an urban area) Or just a walk around the block. You'll finish it, and It will come out well!

Do it, or you won't get paid! :)

Take a deep breath, slowly blow it out. Again. Now get your but off Yahoo and get back to work! You'll feel better once your done.
10 :
Write the steps needed to reach you goal in LARGE LETTERS. Tape these goals to fridge, tv or computer

Are there any freelance writing jobs for biologists in Chicago

Are there any freelance writing jobs for biologists in Chicago?
I have performed some home experiments in cyanobacteria, Penicillium, and panbiogeography. I have written papers on these subjects, and I wondered if there any organizations that can accept freelance science/biology writers?

can you help me getting a job of a freelance content writer

can you help me getting a job of a freelance content writer?

No, the only person capable of getting you a job is you. If you have the writing skills, there are jobs out there. It just takes work. lots of work. And as little begging as possible.
2 :
Do you mean writing content for publication on the web? If not, though, the approach is more or less similar. If you want to get paid to write, you first must be able to prove that you have the writing skills. You can only truly prove that you do by being published. If you want to get published, you must write in the way the publisher likes. Anyone who has this kind of job - unless they were extremely lucky and/or had their daddy give them a job - will tell you that they didn't get a writing job before they started to write, but that they had been writing for a while before they had anything published, and they had things published for a while before they were paid for anything. There's no guaranteed fast and easy way in, despite what some people will say. That means you will have to write, and have your writing used, and probably without any pay for your labors. But never turn down the chance of sending something for publication that will get you some money. Getting paid is better than not getting paid. You should never NEVER pay to have something published. There are more scams out there than anyone should have to deal with. Increase the chances of your writing being accepted. There are plenty of wannabe writers, but only a few of them are published. My suggested place to start: a place that has the kind of writing that you like to read. Most likely this will be one with content aimed at your age group and interests (the target audience). You already know about the subject, you already know the style of writing that's there, and you already know the kind of people who like to read it. Writing about something that you know is best. If you aren’t interested in it, it’s for people you don’t know, and in a different style to yours, you make yourself fail before you even begin. For example, if you write about electronic games, send it to a site for electronic gaming. If you write for teenagers, don’t send it to a place serving senior citizens. Etc. etc. Then study the style of writing that gets published. Follow the same style. Try to write something that you think the place needs, but hasn’t done yet. That might seem a bit basic, but there are plenty of writers who haven't studied the market and send their articles to places that their writing does not fit. All that increases the chances that you will have something accepted. When you have had enough accepted you will be able to show a portfolio of your work and hope that someone will pay you for it. There’s a lot to it. You have to be determined and do the preparation before it will all fall into place. And if you are rejected, try and find out why. Knowing why your writing wasn’t accepted is the key to helping you write better for the target audience and publisher. And you have to write, write, and write some more. Best of luck!

You can write niche content and make some money via Google Adsense or Yahoo Publisher Network. Both are pay per click programs. Check out this case study https://www.google.com/adsense/askthebuilder It's about Askthebuilder.com earning nearly $30,000 a month with Google Adsense. Create sites via free hosting. This way you need not invest any money. Just your valuable time to create websites. You may not get checks almost immediately but with the right methods and hard work, it's definitely a good source of passive income which will come sooner or later. If you need more details on ways to work from home, there are some good information and articles from this site. http://earncash.50webs.com

What's the difference between freelancing and part time job

What's the difference between freelancing and part time job?
I wonder if the two words are different or the same as it sounds like freelancing is also a part time job. Please enlighten me on this topic. Thanks.

Freelancing is when you look around for work and you most likely don't get a constant paycheck and you don't work for the same employer every time whereas a part-time job is scheduled and you get a constant paycheck. Freelancing is more risky.
2 :
Part time can still be w2, freelance is usually not so. In detail: part time is one employer, and you are not incorporated. Freelance is usually incorporated or via a refering corporation. Freelance is get your own work, part time is work supplied that is less than 40 hrs per week Freelance can be part time, or much more than 40 per week.
3 :
P/T job may be for a company or organization. Freelance is not limited to one employer. can be multiple employers. More commitment is needed in P/T where as for freelance it may not be the case

What are some good freelance writing jobs

What are some good freelance writing jobs?
I'm looking to supplement my income a bit and I was thinking of doing some free lance. Any tips?

It probably depends on your writing experience level. If you have virtually none, do some free writing for anyone who will take it -- local weekly newspaper, whatever. From there you'll be able to move up a bit if you are good. Magazines are an obviously outlet. Pick a subject -- say, travel -- then check the local bookstore to see what is out there. Hint: Start small. National Geographic doesn't hire beginners. From there, hopefully you'll make contacts and get assignments. Good luck.
2 :
It's recommendable that you contribute to a few publications for free so you have something to show the people who you want to write for (for payment).
3 :
There is a site that publishes freelance writing jobs weekly. It's (AngelaHoy@writersweekly.com) its a preety good site. Hope it helps.
4 :
The best place to look for freelance writing jobs is online. There are free services like Craigslist where you are able to find postings, but if you want to take it a little more seriously, you can also look into services like Guru, GetAFreelancer, and Elance. Speaking for myself, I started out with Craigslist, but most of my freelance writing work came from networking and word of mouth. If you would like to try your hand at professionl blogging, it might also be worth a try sending an email to one of your favorite (commercial) blogs. Weblogs Inc. and Gawker Media are two of the biggest blog networks. - btr.michaelkwan.com

Make samples like you're supposed to 3 to 5 samples of your best work (emphasizing storytelling, action, all superhero characters, doesn't have to be specific looking just professional). Make 8.5 * 11 copies of them at your local copy shop and mail them to the editors of the comics (the editors of Batman, SUperman, whatever). Just put their name at DC Comics on the envelope and get DC's Address from somewhere
