are there any low or no experience freelance jobs?
hi guys, i am a sophomore in high school and my parents live in different cities. i go back and fourth every week. i am at a loss because i am looking for a job but will have trouble keeping consistent hours i was wondering if there was any kind of job that i can just show up and work inconsistently? thanks guys!

How can i do my taxes with freelance.

How can i do my taxes with freelance.?
I have my normal w2's from my normal job which is a substantial amount. But how do I claim freelance jobs that I did if I don't know how much I made (i.e. I don't keep books). Do I just estimate a number? I don't do normal invoicing and I don't know who is claiming my fee on their taxes.

You need to keep track of your income. You must report all of it, whether the other party is claiming it or not. From now on, write down your income on a sheet of paper. Do the same with your expenses. It doesn't need to be fancy as long as it is accurate

when should i email back about a job?
I got an email about a freelance job. They want to set up a meeting this week and I sent a message back saying great, let me know the time and the place. I haven't heard back in 2 days. When should I contact them again without seeming desperate?

give them about a week total (5 days) from your email. Maybe 4 days.. Hiring & interviewing is usually not a company's first priority, so they get to job applicants in between normal, everyday stuff. 4-5 days allows them plenty of time yet is just right if by some weird chance they've lost your information or didn't receive your reply. ie, i had a phone interview scheduled at 11 a.m. one day. She never called but my phone service went out & I called & left msg from my cell. She called the following day & said so sorry--I got slammed & couldn't make the call anyway!? This is a HUGE employer in my city with MANY people in it's HR dept! Can't believe they operate like that, but they do!

If they said that they wanted to meet this week then i would go ahead and either call or email (since the week is about halfway over).. emails sometimes get lost or not read right away, so if you havent heard anything back then that's probably what happened

There are tons and tons of sites out there. You should try gonogging.com. What's cool is that other then just using it to find jobs you can put your work up for sale, so you could make templates or generic logos and put them up there

You could get a free basic, or better, paid membership at a site like Guru.Com, Elance.Com, RentACoder.com etc.; Create a profile; Bid for the projects in appropriate category. You could try to ask your friends, relatives, ex-colleague etc. for some referrals. There are some consulting companies, whose names I don't remember, who can give you projects for a fee. These work better than freelancer sites mentioned above for the initial phase, as the ranking at those sites takes time to build up

To be completely honest, I have no idea what I want to do, but I do know that I want to work as a freelancer or a job where I can create my own schedule and a determine my own income rather than being on a set pay.
