I'm not sure if you'd be able to find a full time job, maybe some online freelance work. I've noticed a lot of places even hiring online programmers require at least a Computer Science Degree of some sort to prove to the employer that they have the skills to do the job. I'm not saying you won't find a job, maybe you will, I'd learn PHP and MySQL anyway it's a great tool for the web, and you never know if you get good at it you may be able to open your own business in Web Design/Programming. Good Luck In Learning and Job Searching. :)

You would need some intense training to master it in that time. Like, you would need help from an expert. Honestly, I have been struggling with it for ages, and I'm only now beginning to make progress

Hi! I am working from home for a few years now, so I know how it goes. The work I do is simple and profitable. U don't have to sell or buy anything and you dont any material to start. Take a look at this video and u will see payment proof and some basic info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQcHwwSSHYs Link to the website is on the right of the video. The company is legit and successfull, and has been on the market since 1999. They pay on time. Not a scam and not with "a catch" - no hidden cost down the line! I am looking for some new people and I am willing to help u get started. For more info write to my e-mail: information@fidobada.ws P.S. Be careful before signing up with anything online...always demand to see payment proof first!

If you're looking to do freelance work, and/or to sell items online.. I would recommend that you check out http://gonogging.com/?utm_source=ans&utm_medium=pv&utm_campaign=gn. Not only do they have a section full of requests for freelance work, but they also have a section for you to put items online to sell. Pretty cool site, seems like it's a perfect match for you, I'd definitely take a look. :o)

They are all scams, I suggest you to better stay away from this BS

Simply give your company a title (whether it officially had one or not) and put your position as Web Master/SEO Consultant/Owner then describe several of your major freelancing work. It is very common for this to be included on a resume and often times makes a huge difference

What does it mean when a job posting says "submit qs or query

What does it mean when a job posting says "submit qs or query"?
I'm sure I'll feel silly when someone explains it, but I don't know what "qs or query" means. It's for a freelance writing job, if that matters. Thanks! :)

qs is likely supposed to look like this Q's and query is shorthand for inquery. Essentially, an e-mail address would have followed that phrase and it's asking you to submit any questions or inqueries you might have to the address that followed

how do I fill out a job application if I've been a freelancer

how do I fill out a job application if I've been a freelancer?
I just went on an interview for a job, and have been sent a standard application form. I've been a freelancer, doing work here and there, over a long time span. I don't know how to fill out the application because there are long periods where I wasn't working, because of family issues, and during the past 8 years I've done a small number of freelance jobs both answers were really helpful

Simply write, "Self Employed". Then describe what you've been doing all of these years. They won't mind if you worked for yourself. It actually shows initiative. I got a nice job offer recently, yet I haven't worked in 5 years. They ended up practically begging me to work there. In the end, I decided to remain self employed though. lol. You might decided that too!
2 :
just tell the truth. you don't have to account for every single hour or day or month or year. just say that you have done a variety of freelance work over the last however-many years. in an interview, explain that while you enjoyed the freedom that the freelance lifestyle afforded you, you are currently looking forward to the less volatile nature of a regular 9-5

It is possible...I know of it..i just don't know how to explain it.

Yes, in certain cases. First, curators work in different areas. A curating position in a museum is more of a permanent position, a top position, so you won't find too many freelance curators in a bigger museum; it's a position that people work years towards, both in post-graduate degrees and in the field. Art galleries may be a better place to look, as some may have guest curators from time to time and not only accept proposals from artists but curators as well. Gallery owners do occasionally step back and allow you use of the space for a show. Possibly local community centers or civic centers (places that have had art shows in the past) may have a contact there to whom you could submit a proposal. The best way to find out is to go to a local gallery or your local art scene (wherever that is) and ask the people there their opinion. You may also want to consider why you want a freelance curating job. I'm a painter and from my experience, the curators I've known have their own galleries or work in a museum setting; therefore, they get a paycheck from the sale of art work or from the museum. I would think that a freelance curator wouldn't make too much money, as the art market isn't always predictable, and if you have to gain approval for each and every show, you may have to either pay a fee or take a smaller percentage in exchange. Best of luck to you

Will the IRS contact me about how much to pay from my 1099 job

Will the IRS contact me about how much to pay from my 1099 job?
As of Jan. 1, 2010, my freelance writing job changed from a W-2 to a 1099. I understand that I will owe just over 15 percent of my wages in every 3 months, but I'm not sure if the IRS will send me some kind of a form or if this is my responsibility. If it is my responsibility, can you send me a link to the form I will need to fill out and send? Thank you!

no, you file your estimated with 1040ES, April 15, June 15, Sept 15, and Jan 15, 2011, you are already too late for 2009 you will complete a sch C and SE and determine your se tax, it is approx. 15.3% for 2009 for 2010, go to www.irs.gov and download 1040ES forms
2 :
1. It is your responsibility. 2. It may be a lot more than 15%. 3. The form is Form 1040-ES. Do not send the entire form. Complete the entire form, but send only the voucher. Keep the rest of the form. 4. The form is at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040es.pdf
