What is the most high paying stay-at-home job/how to become a freelance paralegal.

What is the most high paying stay-at-home job/how to become a freelance paralegal.?
Just curious what some of the highest paying at home jobs are. I have my paralegal certificate and would like to know how to start some sort of freelance p/t job from my house. I (shockingly) enjoy paperwork/data organizing...any advice would help.

It hasn't been around for long, but The Independent Profit Center is already one of the best money making programs on the internet. IPC is superior to most of the other online money making programs for various reasons. People are sick and tired of the 1 ups and 2 ups that really only reward the people who got in on the ground floor. The cost of getting started with IPC is also much lower than a lot of other programs. With IPC it is only a one-time purchase of $200 that is paid directly to the person promoting the site and then another one-time admin fee paid directly to IPC. There are no recurring fees and everyone gets paid on their first sale. With IPC Center many are in full profit mode within 24 to 48 hours. * No Pass Up Sales * No Split Sales * No Overpriced Membership Fees IPC provides ongoing training and support at no extra cost. There are many successful home based businesses online. This might be one worth looking at. http://realmoney4life.com/

A few thoughts: One service I've seen being done successfully by a "solo-practitioner" paralegal is corporate services, i.e. acting as the agent for corporations, taking care of corporate filings with the secretary of state (incorporation documents, annual reports, etc.) and various corporate formalities like organizing the minute book and stock certificates, etc. If you have more of a litigation background, there's probably some contract work available from time to time from solo lawyers or firms whose own staff is overburdened by a large case - like reviewing and organizing discovery materials and the like. This would likely not be done out of your home, though.

Have a look at these freelance job sites. eLance costs money, but they are the largest. I normally use scriptlance. http://www.scriptIance.com http://www.gofreeIance.com http://www.eIance.com

Should I quit my dead end job for freelance work

Should I quit my dead end job for freelance work?

I've been at the job 7 months, I'm not learning anything and the pay sucks, but it's stable. On the other hand, great freelance opportunities come up now and again that I have to turn down because of this job. Should I just quit so I can free up my time? Doing contract/freelance work is very common in my field.

that decision is for u to make. before deciding, you need to know: - how much income u think the franlance work will make, and whether the income will cover your current money salary and employee benefits (health care, vacation, etc) - can u do freelance while keeping ur current job?

Wow, I have actually been struggling with the very same situation! You a writer by chance? Anyway, I've decided that you should do what you can afford to do. If you can financially afford to walk away from your current position, I see no reason why you should stay there. Most of us work for one of two reasons: because the work pays our bills or because the work is rewarding and fulfilling. I went to college (a pricey one, I might add) to ensure future happiness, not future wealth. While I'd be doing myself a favor to give up the b.s. jobs and persue more freelance writing, right now, it simply doesn't fit within my means. I have bills, and freelance work is no guarantee. I've decided to ride my crappy job out until I'm able to pick up a full-time position or until I have become reputable enough as a freelancer to support myself. If you don't have to keep your crappy job, I'd certainly advise you to cut corners. This isn't the way I imagined my life. Beyond that, ask yourself what your future holds. If you stay with your job, is there an end in sight? Give yourself limits, like "I'll stay here until I have obtained 5 major clients in my freelance business," or "I'll leave the next time I'm forced to turn down another big opportunity." You need to figure out what your long term goal is, and go from there. Keep in mind that there are always blue collar jobs available (graveyard shifts, waiting tables, stocking shelves, etc.) that offer a lot of flexibility in many cases. It's not ideal, but it might supplement your income while you satisfy your ambition. Best of luck to you. I can totally empathize

Maybe this is a crazy question, but why don't you just work for yourself? The Internet is International and the opportunities to take part in the Digital Information Revolution are endless. It's over a Billion Dollar market and the barrier's to entry are not even worth considering. I got my start by downloading free software and buying a kit of resources to modify for less than 10 bucks. I can now sell my product as many times as I want to or even give others the right to sell it for a fee they pay me. Let me know if I can help.

Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careerbuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can apply for jobs and upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired. What is the % of cash I should stash away from a $40K Freelance Job for taxes

What is the % of cash I should stash away from a $40K Freelance Job for taxes?
Illinois tax rate, if it helps. Looking to the actual (or close to) percentage so I can just put that away into a CD and earn a little interest on it before I turn it over to Uncle Sam next year.

you better make quarterly estimated payments or risk getting nailed with an underwithholding penalty - put aside about 30% - maybe more if you will be having other income during the year
2 :
If that's your only income for the year, around 31% should do it for federal and state income tax, and for self employment tax. But if you just save it and pay at the end, you'll be subject to penalties for underwithholding. You are required to make quarterly estimated payments
