Where can I find a freelance job for in graphics or web design

Where can I find a freelance job for in graphics or web design?
I'm currently 18 years old and about to go to college. I have a job but I want another way to make some more money fro college. Is there a website that gives you small jobs in web or graphics design that pays? I'm not looking for a lot of money, just some that I can accumulate over time.

I hate to burst your bubble, but you do NOT have good communications skills in English. If you were to send a presentation, written as poorly as you have written this question... any prospective employer will just laugh and toss it in the waste basket. "I am ownig computer with internet" "I OWN a computer with Internet capability" "How can I get frelance job from reliable souces" FREELANCE is spelled FREELANCE and it is SINGULAR... SOURCES is PLURAL that is a mixed tense. "I have GOT good comunication knowledge in english" The is just POOR ENGLISH... PERIOD. "I have good comunication knowledge in english" " I have good COMMUNICATIONS (comunication is spelled COMMUNICATION) knowledge WITH English (in this context, English is CAPITALIZED" You need to SERIOUSLY improve your supposed "comunication knowledge in english" before anyone will take you seriously enough to give you a free lance job doing any kind of writing. and USE THE SPELL CHECKER... you DO know what a SPELL CHECKER IS... right?

Where can I find job listings for freelance copywriting online?
I've found that CraigsList seems to be one of the only places where I can find the occasional freelance copywriting job posting. Does anyone know of any other good sites for finding freelance copywriting opportunities?

Is it possible to freelance as a makeup artist and hold a 9-5 job in an unrelated industry? Has anyone or is anyone currently doing this? Also, to become a "certified" makeup artist (that gets you a discount on supplies at MAC), do you need to take a test or just attend a program at a certified school. Thanks.

To get the MAC discount you have to prove that you are a makeup artist. If you want to be a MAC makeup artist, they can train you and you get the discount (yay). To be a certified makeup artist you have to complete a certain amount of hours at a makeup or cosmetology school. Does anyone know how you can get a job as a freelance photographer?

Errrr, do you actually know what freelance means? It means you go out and find your own jobs basically. It can be a case of going and finding commissions or taking images and hawking them around publishers to try and get them published for money.

Freelancers find gigs, workers find jobs. As a freelancer, you work for 4 hours or less to a few months at the outside. Most gigs will be for a day, maybe two. "stuck in my own Business going no where" ?? What business are you in now? If it's not in photography, then when you do get into photography, welcome to a whole new level of "pain". Photography is one of the most competitive fields out there, so if you're not doing good in business currently, photography is probably not a good direction to go in. If you are in photography now, it's decision time. Either branch out, and try stock, a different field, or try to do a marketing and PR blitz in your current field. Or, it's time to get out of photography, and try a completely different business or find a job. Do you have a business plan? If you have a photography business, that is essentially what you have to do, go out and find a freelance gig every day. If you're not working one day, you're out looking for work, or marketing yourself to attract more work. Jobs as photographers are not common. Some companies will hire a staff photographer. At around 1,000 employees, you need someone to document visits, products, etc. Zoos, theme parks and tourist attractions will sometimes have a staff photographer, sometimes just use freelance. There's always the event and chain store portrait photographers, but McDonalds pays almost as much

1. Envelope-stuffing - You have to send in your one-time registration fee to get started. When you do this, the scammer has just made a nice profit at your expense. If the fee was $500 and you sent it to the person who placed the ad then, you guessed it, you just lost $500. After sending your money, the scammer will send you your information to get started at stuffing envelopes for money. This material will consist of a letter telling you to send the same ad that you answered to other people, or place a similar ad in various publications (this is not cheap to do!). When you mail off the Get Paid to Stuff Envelopes offer to somebody else, you have stuffed your envelope. If the victim that you are now unwittingly trying to scam answers the ad and sends the scammer his/her $50, you will get your payment of a few dollars for stuffing the envelope. You will be spending money to advertise the envelope stuffing and will get (we hope) a very, very low response rate. 2. Home product assembly - Some of the home assembly offers promise as much as $30 an hour for this kind of work. The job described would require that you make baby clothes, jewelry, Christmas ornaments, small toys, plastic signs or any other product you can think of. As you can imagine, a lot of people jump at this opportunity only to discover that the whole thing is a scam. What ends up happening is that whoever falls for this ends up paying for a lot of tools and materials to produce the goods for a company that has promised to buy them. One of the ways they get you is by insisting that only certain materials and tools are used so that even if you already have something comparable you will need to purchase theirs. They will also insist that you use only the supplies they offer in order to insure product quality and uniformity. Once you have sent in your money, the supplies and directions you receive will be of far poorer quality than anything you could have found on your own. After you have assembled the product with the materials provided and using only the tools you purchased from them you will find it tricky to impossible to obtain any kind of payment for your hard work and investment. What you will be told is that the work you've done doesn't measure up to their quality standards. No matter what you try they will have some way of refusing your work because it isn't to their standards which is almost certainly mentioned somewhere in your business agreement. 3. Money mules schemes - Fraudsters contact prospective victims with "job vacancy" adverts via spam emails, letters, newspaper job adverts, Internet chat rooms or job search web sites. Jobs are usually advertised as a "financial manager" and suggest that no special knowledge is required. The fraudsters convince the victim to come and work for their fake "company". Some fraudsters even ask mules to sign official-looking contracts of employment. Once recruited, money mules will receive funds into their accounts. These funds will have been stolen by the fraudsters from another account that has been compromised. Mules are then asked to take these funds out of their account and to forward them overseas (minus a commission payment) typically using a wire transfer service. Acting as a mule is an illegal activity. When caught, money mules often have their bank accounts suspended, containing *all* of their money. 4. As a general rule if they offer you something to make money and in exchange they want you to pay a fee in advance for their service or they want you to buy something from them is most likely a scam. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. That is the rule and there is no exception

I love your portfolio, very very cute. You could try conceptart.org they have a looking for work section in the forums and there are lots of proffesional illustrators there you can ask for advice about getting international commissions.

Looking at your work, you might want to look into Threadless.com. You submit your design and the community votes on it. If it wins they print it and buy the design from you. You can't reprint it or distribute it, but they do pay you if they do a reprint. As for other freelance works: Advertise yourself! Have postcards printed with a sample of your work and send them to potential employers with your website. Most art directors keep a book of illustrators they like and may call you when you think you fit their needs. Keep sending out mailings every 4 months or so. You want to stay on the top of their minds. Unfortunately I'm not sure if most art directors want to work with someone terribly far away.
