How I can find a job in Prague or any were in Czech Republic as a Graphic designer?
I'm from Bosnia I'm a freelance artist mostly working on comics and posters and I was wondering if any knew how I could find a job in Prague or anywhere in the Czech Republic? Note: I do need a Visa but as of December this year Bosnia is getting the new Schengen passports, meaning that Ill no longer require a Visa to travel to most parts of Europe. So If any one can help it will be most appreciated.

the bread and butter of most photographers is the family portrait. You can set up a simple studio in you living room. Al you need are two hot lights, camera(dslr) a tripod, a stool and sometyoeof background. And a paying client. Make up some business cards and hand them out- the phoe will ring so just be patience

how do I get a graphic design job

how do I get a graphic design job?
I live in Kansas City. Not very many design jobs out there, and when you apply for one, you are competing with 300 other applicants. I don't have 5+ years experience, and people have said my portfolio is great. Should I go freelance, move to another area, any suggestions?

The question is do you want a design job? The market is flooded with graphic designers who paid alot of money for college degrees for the new "practical" job. I know graphic designers who have never had an actual job. Your best bet is to freelance at web design. If you can get a specific site (especially porn since they are constantly changing) you could probably remain semi-employed if they like your work.
2 :
You could free lance on your own- or when you apply you can offer to take less pay for six months to show your experience and creativity - that would get your foot in the door- D
3 :
Build your portfolio to perfection. Your portfolio is the most important thing, that and networking. Make a website, not a cheesy one. Place samples of your best projects on it. Send out your resume and your web link to as many places as possible, even if they aren't hiring. In the mean time do Freelance, you still gotta eat right?.. They do look at experience and where you have worked at before, but if you can get them to see your work, then you will get a call, even if you dont have 5+years experience. PORTFOLIO NETWORKING PORTFOLIO. And of course a little bit of bullshitting never hurt anyone. Good luck

Include freelance works in resumes

Include freelance works in resumes?
Would employees acknowledge freelance work experience? I've been doing quite a lot of freelance writing jobs right after I graduate from college and reviews on my online profile are quite impressive. Should I include those on my job resume?

Yes, I think so. But just summarize them and provide links so that prospective employers can get at the details should they wish to

Can I be a TA on the side and still work at my full time job

Can I be a TA on the side and still work at my full time job?
I have received my certificate to be a travel agent, and would like to see if I could do this part time or on the side to make extra money. I have a full time job currently and it is 8:15-4:30 M-F. I'm not sure how it would work such as - Can Travel Agents freelance? Or do they have to be employed and go to an actual place of business to be a Travel Agent? Thanks and I look forward to the responses.

what are some good ideas for freelance work in los angeles

what are some good ideas for freelance work in los angeles?
basically, I want to freelance my way through life right now...at least for the next 6 months. I'm a little burnt out on 40 hours a week at one job...and way too young to be burned out. I also want to do some traveling, so making my own schedule is key. Other than CraigsList, where can I look find freelance or seriously part time positions? Office stuff, personal assistant, virtual assistant...anything (almost)!

Good question. Apple One staffing has placed a lot of people this way. Another idea is to contact a local staffing agency in Hollywood/LA area - they often hire part-time people to sit in various tv show audiences - it's easy money and you just sit, clap, and you're done for the day. Good luck!

Craigs list.... best bet.
3 :
How about buying a camera and stalking celebrities? I hear it can pay pretty well. Seriously, try the paper, you may also find a legit position on say Monster, or related sites

Where can I find freelance writing gigs/jobs

Where can I find freelance writing gigs/jobs?
I've been laid off since August & my unemployment is really not helping too much with my monthly bills/expenses. I'm not a PROFESSIONAL writer, however I do possess good writing skills & would like to create some income by writing articles, however I'm not sure what websites are reputable. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

You should checkout ifreelance.com. You have to pay a small monthly fee of a few bucks to be able to place bids, but they have a lot of writing projects that you can bid on. I've been using them for a couple weeks for web design projects and have secured a couple deals. I've been out of work since July and I am with you on unemployment not cutting it. Good luck to you
