How do you go about finding a job?
I just need a bit of work right now. I have been doing freelance work so I have mostly been out of the job loop. I've applied to many jobs over the internet, through emailing directly and through filling out the job applications, but I have received no response. How do you go about finding a job? I need one by the second week of February.

Try applying to the TEMP Agency(Temporary job). That will give you some time to keep looking for a stable job.

searching for a job is very easy... you look in the newspapers... theres sertin sections.. if not there some places will have signs in there windows "help wanted" or you could ask your frinds that have jobs if theres any spots open for you..

How can I find a writing side job that pays per article?
I enjoy writing, but want something that I can do as I please, not that I have to live off, but that can serve as a little additonal income. Like freelance writing, not a full time writing all day job.

They sell these books, I forget what they are called, but you can get them at half price books and they are lists of magazines that are hiring writers. They come out with an up to date one each year. It tells what they pay, who to contact, what type of writing they want + they give you tips on being full-time freelance. Good luck!!!

I lost my job and I wanto to go on unemployment. I did some freelance work on the in order to have littl emore money to spend. Can I file for unemployment if I have some freelance usually pays every 2-3 months not over $1400. I need all money possible. Please send me any links that might help. I do report it I just wanted to know if I still get unemployment. if I have some freelance around 1400 every 2-3 months Yesterday I lost my Job

If your freelance is reported on a 1099. You will need to report it as income.....or get caught at the end of the year......unemployment fraud.........

If the job you lost was a normal job (not freelancer) you would be able to apply for benefits. How long ago did you lose your job?

Alex - if you were laid off, then you can collect; if you were fired or voluntarily quit, then no collecting (this is how it is in most States, yours may be different).If you are eligible, then when the time comes to report the freelance work, you will lose the benefits. The only way to keep the benefits when you get paid is to spread the pay over several weeks to keep under the maximum allowed by Unemployment.
