like can i become a software engineer with a BSCS and work for a company like a normal full time job for like 90,000$ a year or whatever than freelance on my own time for like more money on other projects? or do i need alot of time to freelance?

It depends how much time you need to work on your day job. We use several contractors who have full-time day jobs - they just do our work in the evening.

You can do freelance work through freelance sites. It depends on the work you want to do but if you can do it remotely, especially programming which is the most desired skill, you can use freelance sites to connect to small companies that want to hire you for quick and short term jobs. There are several companies that offer this kind of freelance service but you should do some research first so you understand how the system works.
