Where will I find freelance writing jobs in India

Where will I find freelance writing jobs in India?
I am a newbie writer and I am looking out for freelance writing jobs in India. Are there any websites in India that offer freelance writing jobs to newcomers? It'll be great to get some feedback on my writing as well.

Check out the elance, iFreelance and Guru websites, I've provided the links for you in the source box. They are places where freelancers can bid on jobs which are posted by people who need help with their work. All three sites are well known which is great if you are looking for work as they receive a lot of traffic which means more opportunities for you! Plus, you can be anywhere in the world to do most jobs, so you can be in India, writing for people in India OR Hawaii OR Munich - location is not necessarily an issue. Another advantage - you're tapping into an international market instead of just your area. I've used elance's service 2 times and was very happy with the outcome. They did the 'Doom & Gloom' statistics research on my website (something else you may be able to do, as that's what writers are good at) and another group designed my site. I've included my site if you want to have a look at the type of work and I'm happy to tell you how much I paid for those two services if you're interested in getting an idea around how much suppliers quote. freelance writing iscan be a parttime job. and it is mainly homebased. professional freelancer has a great market place in India. YOU CAN VISIT_www.bixee.com/Freelance/jobs-in/India

You should try this new website for writers in India, Chillifreeze.com. Try out their job listings section. They list both freelance and full-time jobs for writers and editors in India. They also have a freelance projects section where projects are awarded based on eligibility and not the lowest bid. Elance and Guru are great sites as well but employers here often award the job to the lowest bidder, not to the best qualified

I wouldn't. Most of these are not legit. Real jobs require effort.

Yes I have heard of this website. Don't know to much about it but see it all over the web. Here is a review that I found doing a little google search http://www.work-at-home-vault.com/Data-Entry/Review/Freelance-Home-Writers.html

Be careful. There are many different options for someone trying to break into the writing business. These websites could help. Oboulo.com is a publicly authored, publicly accessible database covering a wide array of topics. Each time you publish a paper, article, presentation etc. on the website, you will receive $15.00 in royalties. Create an account and enter ambassador # 9590ba to earn $15 per published article. After connecting to the site, you will be asked to enter an ambassador number. By entering ambassador# 9590ba you'll receive $15 per document published. This is a good place to start to get your name out there and some published articles under your belt. Next, go to the Associated Content website and sign up as a writer. Submit as many articles as you can. The payment varies, but they are generous. Good luck!

Kind of sounds like you'd get scammed and won't make money. There's a monthly subscription fee and nobody to talk to. So you sign up with your credit card number and they charge it monthly for $49.95 and don't even say thank you. http://accrispin.blogspot.com/2008/11/victoria-strauss-freelancehomewritersco.html http://www.ripoffreport.com/searchresults.asp?q5=freelance+home+writers&q1=ALL&q4=&q6=&q3=&q2=&q7=&searchtype=0&submit2=Search%21

sometimes schools have freelance projects that people have come to them to have students do...ask your career services department. also, friends and families are good. and also going out to local businesses and giving them your card (just make sure you have some work online up so they can see your talent) Also, you can bid for work on etsy.com through Alchemy, or do a search for websites, like freelancedesigners.com (there are tons of similar ones too...)

How to quote for a freelance translation job in India- Spanish/English?per hour, per page, or per word

How to quote for a freelance translation job in India- Spanish/English?per hour, per page, or per word??

Per word is normal - in Europe you can expect to charge about 10-15 euro cents per word, depending on the type of work and the deadline. Per hour is more difficult, as different translators work at different speeds. Can also do a flat rate per page. Make sure you have a minimum charge, and a minimum per page too. Good luck Jx

i hate to say this but freelance will never be trusted because you will always be working for random people
2 :
Setup a website of your work. You can guarantee that any trustworthy client is going to research you before giving you money, so give them something to look at that you've personalized. You can search for "free web hosting" or find a cheap hosting provider and get your own domain name, too (recommended). Use a good networking website like craigslist.org to post "gigs" of yourself and often, search for freelance work, and network with others. Try networking with web developers who are less design savvy and in a similar similar situations as you to improve your website in exchange for improving the design of theirs. Even if web site design is not your main interest, just having a site is the fastest way for anyone in the world to find you. Also, make sure you research your client first before accepting a job. Setup an LLC in your state of residence to protect your assets from lawsuits (it's also nice just to have to claim you have a legitimate business) and check to see if they've setup a similar sort of business. If you have the money (or eventually get it), invest in an attorney and get your work copyrighted. Obviously big name companies are the most preferred clients, but if you need to trust someone's ability to pay, offer a bit of trust in return. For example, I have always offered the first hour of my time as a take-it-or-leave-it deal. If they don't like the work I started, they don't get it and they don't have to pay. If they're satisfied, they pay me for the work and every X amount of hours I will expect the next payment. The key in all of this, of course, is to exert confidence and strength. People are more likely to trust you and less likely to cross your path.

    The classifieds
    2 :
Probably the best place would be the classifieds. As an alternative, check out http://www.craigslist.org - a giant online classifieds site, with smaller sites by location. If you go to the main Craigslist site, you can pick your state or city from the links in the columns on the right side of the page. Good luck!
    3 :
Freelance typing would be hard to find and are usually full scams. need to open up what you you are looking for. If you are looking for work at home job leads, check out some ones at http://wahjobs.blogspot.com
    4 :
There are hardly any typing jobs anymore. Everything done on computers. Either Data Entry or they positon is called Administrative Assistant positon with computer skills.
