I want to be a freelance artist, writer, or blogger but I don't know where to get a reliable job....and the internet is too risky...where should I go for that type of employment?

It is always risky, but try http://www.elance.com as they take the trust and certifications seriously. Generally on the job boards people have profiles where you could check if the previous buyers/providers had been happy to work with that person or not. Just don't relly too much on others' oppinions because they may not be honest.
