How would one go about finding a job in freelance translation

How would one go about finding a job in freelance translation?
I was wondering if there was a site that would allow me to sign up to take on either large or small jobs in translation from Spanish to English or the other way around. I have searched a bit using Google and have only been able to post a job for other freelance translators. Any help will be useful.

Hi, In fact there are a couple sites. You sign up for free and only pay comission when you get paid for a project. Check it out http://www.freelancer-online.com/archives/25 There you will find the link to the job site. It's one of the biggest on the market. I see today there is one project for a spanish translation. Hurry up;)

Hello. I do a lot of freelance work through oDesk, and I know they always have jobs looking for translators. You might want to check them out, set up a free profile and apply to some of the projects on there. Best of luck to you!
